CSW talked about this idea: Imagine if all disposable packaging was RFID tagged. When purchasing the item, you acquire the right to redeem the packaging to the manufacturer for money. If you throw it away, someone else will pick it up to take your money.

Mexico has done the bottle refund for years. Some states also have a deposit for bottles and cans when you buy them.
Great to hear! Germany is also great like that. BSV changes things in that you can program everything to the minute detail. Like have the person who bought it and threw it away pay a mini tax. Reward increase/decrease based on condition or "mintness"
If it's a battery, you really don't want it thrown in nature so you can heavily dis-incentivize that by punishing it with a tax. may be a bit draconian but I guess we have to hash all the legal aspects out over the next 100 years ^^
