CS Lewis said Taoism and Christianity were the most attractive religious ideas to him, but Taoism not quite having the courage to fully redeem the material. (don't quote me)

Something similar here. (Though hard to find courageous Christian theology too)

Its an interesting argument. I would say hes correct but what is full redemption? I would say people find degrees of transcendence through many mediums even if its just self expression.

yeah good question. I think a metaphysic that rejects all but the spiritual as being illusion is perhaps opposite (and maybe less dangerous) error of materialist who rejects all but physical as being an illusion.

But it's hard to not get too semantic.

They need each other really. The spiritual one needs to bring the higher thinking/understanding BACK to the people more focused on the physical world. Our tech/world reflects our understanding of above possibility. I think its so slow...hard to 👁 harmony

I agree with this exactly. The words you have chosen are excellent. I see few people disagreeing with them, but I may be wrong, Maybe replace spiritual with universal?

I have tried to describe this need but have chosen words and tone that caused division.

Thank you but trust me most people disagree with me most of the time... We all see it differently. I have faith in our own individual journeys..we gotta give each other the space to move and grow according to their own compass.

I try not to argue anymore these days. I try to just present what I think. I dont need to prove it or create any call to action. Tomorrow I might 180 in my thinking 🤔

That’s the key I think.

A flexible mind. 💪
