I think he was talking about the control of money itself. The bitcoin protocol keeps everyone honest (ish). A lot more honest than fiat anyways.

Well, I think you are right. I'm speculating that if you can't print money, then power would be measured by the size of your stack.
Kind of like when countries were on the gold standard.
