anyway, I hereby note that one of the challenges with async is that I didn't even know someone was trying to talk to me here, and it was hard to find out the context. @metamitya sent me a twitter DM saying "just a reminder in case you were interested in this crazy experiment" with a link to this subthread, but I didn't actually know what the context was, and when I asked, it took me ANOTHER 10 days to get to looking at his reply.

but "reminder" was not actually accurate, since I had not been adequately minded in the first place—I don't receive any notifications from knovigator (I block notifications from lots of things) and it's not something I check regularly

but the incentive definitely helps! still, it needs a way to keep me in the loop
