I have contributed an ADDITIONAL .1 BSV to “Encrypt and Delete.”

What all of you fail to understand is that Twetch doesn’t work without it. So please contribute moar so we can end this glo-op and get true data ownership. @4 @3 @852

I think you’re failing to understand. It has nothing to do with that.

Twetch ·

are you referring to like... true ownership means you can delete that thing?

Twetch ·

You can take access away from Twetch and give it to another platform if Twetch behaves badly, or to anyone else, or sell it at your own rates if you choose to later.

You have no control now at all.

Twetch ·

Delete doesn’t delete, it takes away Twetch’s access. It’s still on the blockchain for you to sign to other services

Twetch ·

I think we put too much emphasis on the content living on chain. It's like thinking the market cares about centralized chains.

Twetch ·

I agree people don’t care. Sell what they want but give what they need

Twetch ·

I think I understand now. Truly owning your data on-chain puts huge pressure on whoever you let access it to BEHAVE, because at any point you can whip it away to a better similar platform and rip them out of the equation entirely.... ?

Twetch ·

So what you're saying is... with this model... Facebook/Twitter wouldve stopped existing years ago, and everyone would be on NotShitFacebook and NotShitTwitter ??

Twetch ·

It also means your social media platforms are not echo chamber silos. The information can exist in many places at once. Positive-sum social media ecosystems. https://www.bitsurf.network/tx/12d3f954018936db9d9edc4b2aa2bbdaa2e20c44b38d0811b062190d89ed11ea

I contributed to this earlier today. I'm surprised such a small amount of donations are holding up this update. Surely the small donations don't cover the cost. Thoughts on how this is supposed to work?

Twetch ·

It’s because they don’t understand. Frog @4 and crew are probably deliberately downplaying it because they know how powerful it is for us. Probably involved in crime.

Twetch ·

i dunno about crime... but if they want to make money they need to charge more. otherwise just do it. @4 is this just a way to ramp things up and later feature upgrades will cost more? it's all good - just wanting to learn...

Twetch ·

If you like or branch but don’t contribute please slap yourself for me!!

Twetch ·

Just pay celebrities to join and use. Give them a hundred bucks per twetch or something. Up to 10k per celebrity. Change based upon how boss you think they are. Get all the silly youtube crypto guys, first.

Twetch ·

Pay them based upon their twitter following over time. Like a slow release bribe for leaving twitter. Make a bot that pays them when they achieve certain levels.

Twetch ·

Or just you give them x times what they earn normally, for a period of a month or something.

Twetch ·

Shame can be an effective control. Don't you think?

Twetch ·

We have to get people to stop hating us first
