Let those drivers know about the Cell 411 app. It contains a decentralized ridesharing function. Now drivers don't have to pay these companies anything, and the state cannot easily stop them.

Yes, I have been to NY. Been to Baltimore, DC, Atlanta, and Chicago. Used taxis in most of them. I never killed or robbed them. I never used an Uber but I suspect the major difference is that drivers make thier own hours and work areas.

I have read many articles and heard news reports and podcasts interviewing Uber drivers. Most of the "unfair" issues Ive seen resulted from actions of the state and their demands on cabs and employers.
I'm not a big fan of the state.

It's the usual issue with Uber in most jurisdictions. The drivers are not considered employees and get no benefits and no gaurantee of minimum wage. I believe CA demanded they give every driver hourly min wage and benefits and so on...

i siding on the uber side because taxi as a whole has always been a business of you make as much money as hard as you work. But thats my ny perspective Maybe other places think differently and maybe they should make the decision not uber or the government

First is a licensing fees and medallions. The state controls the number of cabbies. They list control. Secondly, drivers are not employees, but they want to be, sort of,but not in every way.

I dont believe in all those rules. What i know is that its a dangerous job. And they work 12 hours a day and they can make alot of money working those 12 hours..and its always been you get paid for how hard you work

Uber drivers don't cause they don't rent their cars or have to pay for city medallions. They make their own hours. That's probably why they are safer. I know a driver.
