Why does Coinbase need an updated BSV node to enable withdrawals from its platform?
That seems utterly ridiculous.
They're sending transactions, not receiving them.
If they need to prove a withdrawal was sent out, it's called Merkle proofs.

I believe it has a lot to do with the removal of cashAddr from BCH and replace back to legacy addresses.
They already support sending to legacy addresses. Not sure why that would change.
All they lose is keeping up with the chain, if certain conditions are met.
They think they are cool if they dont. Bisquit party as they feel their current circles will bring them more opportunites than folling the original chain will. It costs to be a leader.

I'm not sure Coinbase is interested in the success of Bitcoin. I believe their motives are more directed by misguided self interest.
But... Who am I to say? I'm no mind reader.
