On the coast, and in other places that attract a lot of tourists, there are spiders and flies.
The people who live there wait like spiders for prey that goes into their nets, while the tourists are like flies and become unbearable when there's too many of them.
The coast people hate the tourists, but they depend on them, just like spiders probably hate flies, because they destroy their nets - but need them as food.
It generates an energy I detest.
