Chromesthesia, or sound-to-color synesthesia, is a type of synesthesia in which sound involuntarily evokes an experience of color, shape, and movement. Kanye West, Hans Zimmer, Stevie Wonder and Jimi Hendrix are a few musicians reportedly to have it.

a friend did this test to me

I dont know if would always associate the two or if its just a current mood thing. I do know that music has an intense effect on my mood and my perceived "brightness" of things. But nothing like this form of synesthesia specific to music. How did you test?

She asked me different numbers and the colours I see. it was really simple. Your probably right
what colour is 9?

Twetch ·

Green. But if you asked me again tomorrow, would it be the same for both numbers? Or does it have to be? Its interesting. Especially considering the relation to mood/color. Like, you should never paint your bedroom red bc its an aggressive color.

yeah could definitely be mood. I didn't write down my colour to number they all probably changed since then. Would not like a red bedroom for sure
