Just as an experiment, I dried some figs and scraped out the small seeds which I planted to see if I tree would sprout from it. A tree has grown but this doesn't guarantee that it will ever bear fruits as it is possible it be a "male" tree. Beside that, it takes 5 years (or longer) to mature.

For this reason I will take cuttings next time as this has a higher chance of success.
