Engdahl's book is a critical examination of the rise of GMOs and the global agribusiness industry. He contends that GMOs are not simply a technological advancement aimed at improving agricultural productivity but part of a larger plan by powerful elites to control the global food supply and consolidate power. // Cargill is a power player in the book.
Cargill is prominently discussed as one of the key players in the global agricultural and food industry. Engdahl alleges that Cargill, alongside other multinational corporations like Monsanto, Dupont, and Syngenta, is part of a broader effort to dominate global food supply through genetic engineering and monopolistic practices. I think it's very interesting that they are losing power. I haven't dug deep enough to see if it's just part of the larger global economic downturn or if its related to the powers that be losing their power.
