Capitalism is the only system that functions in a way which rewards rationality and penalizes all forms of irrationality, including racism.

Ahhh, I call bullshit on that!

I like this please explain.

The money made from tariffs on china was used to bailout/subsidise farmers because of the tariffs imposed on them by china.
Our taxes used to bail out banks after they lost money on bad mortgages.
The list goes on...

You'd have to define 'capitalism'...
People seem to confuse the unholy union of statism and fractional reserve banking with capitalism.

Seeing that her most famous student went on to be the head of the federal reserve for decades, she must have not defined it to him either.

A lot of people went to sunday school and still ended up in the mob...

I was referring to Alan Greenspan who was Federal Reserve chairman from 1987 to 2006. He was in Ayn Rand's circle which they ironically named "the collective". The equivalent to this is St Peter opening a money changing booth after having followed Jesus.

Over-simplified capitalism, is individual/s raise funding to “sell/supply” a widget to the market and the flow of supply and demand will make it either a success or failure, profit or loss. But that falls/rises on the individual/s involved.

opening a Money changing...at the temple.
Jesus doesn’t care what you do for bread.
“Love God and your neighbour as yourself”.

Yeah that wasn't the point. @6345 was using the analogy of Sunday school. Greenspan wasn't a Sunday school person who did the opposite of what he was taught. He was a direct disciple of Rand for decades before he took his position.
Twetch ·
yep, I just didn’t want the “capitalist” to get upset because they thought you where saying, Jesus was ‘against’ money...lol
I got your point.
Twetch ·
I don't get it. What is the difference between our analogies?
Or are you saying that Rands idea of capitalism is represented in the fractional reserve banking system?
Twetch ·
I don't know her stance on fractional reserve banking. Do you?
The term 'capitalism' is used by many to describe what people dislike about our system in general and by others to describe private property and the free market
Hence the need to define terms

The difference is the closeness of the student and teacher. Greenspan read the new chapters of Atlas Shrugged as it was being written, in the same room as the person who wrote it. A kid in Sunday school reads things written from people who aren't present.
