i tried it yesterday just setting the collection header I sent funds to the payment wallet and waited until it had confirmations, I used 2 fresh 1sat alpha wallets and ignored the connect yours wallets.......I just couldn't get past the error "unable to fetch utox's' tried refilling the fields several times.
used a 1sat alpha wallet -payments
added £5 waited for confirmations
1 private key
2 ordinal key
1sat alpha receive ordinals
3 receive ordinals ordinal pub key
4 another wallet for royalty
5 filled in collection name & description
6 uploaded image

that looks like it should work. the last successful mint by someone was just over 7 hours ago, so it is working. maybe if you have copied the paypk with a space before or after it the key it will not read correctly. I'll try a test collection now using your method and get back to you.
I just minted a collection origin using 1sat wallets, so it is working. Make sure you are entering the payPk as the payment key.
