Can anyone recommend some hardware or something? How many nodes do we need? Should we just run aws nodes and try to do what they are doing? Some advice would be nice.

Is Intel still relevant with 64 core epyc chips?
Depends on if you can get loads of them for free or not.
Lots of companies are throwing them out because they cannot afford dual CPU setups due to Windows license per core and CPU policy etc.
Personally I think the ram and GPU computation requirements will outweigh CPU performance in the database realm in the future.
