If you like Anime or just want something different you might check out "Laid back camp". Your post made think about how I liked that when one of the girls was solo camping and decided to make a fire, the first thing she did was go draw a big pot of water. No politics or weird grown up stuff(the comically drunk teacher may be a bad influence) just a bunch of kids learning how to camp in spots around Mt. Fuji.
