we are clearly referring to consciousness in a different way. You are referring as individual consciousness, me I am more inclined to see as one Self type of consciousness, the one that the Vedanta points too, or Buddism tradition in general. There is one I, one awareness, we all connect to. It is not our mind power, intellect... it is the I.

I think they are not mutually exclusive. Maybe the individual consciousness comes from the unity consciousness, and the act of birthing a child is how the instantiation occurs

again about having kids.. which is a topic very dear to me because I am so grateful to have met my kids... my perspective is not that I made them, it is more that I met them. I feel they were always with me. I know it might sound weird, even my wife doesn't agree but that is how I feel. I cannot imagine they were not and now they are. They were with me, within me. The moment they were born, the way I see is, they enter into this reality, like using an interface. A window of awareness has opened into this reality.
