你知道我们生活在几维空间吗？
男人说三维空间。
小孩说：不对，我们生活在四维空间，你看，那小树慢慢长大，直长成参天大树，那棵树一直活在四维空间里，时间包含了空间……
小孩还谈到了从府南河到长江到上海，还谈到了虚空。
然后他径直跑到了欢乐的孩群里。他说，这些问题，太抽象了。
Beside the Funan River, a man and a child were talking.
"Do you know how many dimensions we live in?"
"Three dimensions," the man replied.
"No," said the child. "We live in a four-dimensional space. Look at that little tree—it grows slowly until it becomes a towering giant. That tree has always lived in the fourth dimension; time encompasses space..."
The child went on to talk about the journey from the Funan River to the Yangtze and all the way to Shanghai. He even spoke of the void.
Then, he ran straight toward a group of happy children. "These questions," he said, "are too abstract."
