The winners in the proof-of-work game are the ones who correctly value their ideas. Undervalue and you lose attention, overvalue and you lose energy. It doesn't matter how wealthy you are. Boost will destroy anyone who overvalues themselves eventually.

You have to find the optimum amount. If you get more than optimal then you lose energy relative to people who found the optimal amount.
