This is completely false. The subsidy is halved every 210,000 blocks (4 years). Currently the block height is 876540. So there have been 4 halvings. 50 to 25 to 12.5 to 6.25 to 3.125 coins per block. 24 * 6 * 3.125 = 450 coins per day.
