This is blackberry, I purchased the baby plant from random seller. There's something interesting here about nutrition. When I replanted the baby on my bro's backyard (which I prepared), soon pests eat it whole to the base. My bro's said, "maybe we need...

.. to spray pesticide to protect it".
I said, "no, it was being eaten because the seller grew it on bad soil, so it's stem and leaves became weak, let the pests eat it's weak self, if it regrow from my well prepared soil, it's new body will become strong"

In the pic, it's obvious that the plamt had been eaten to the base, and it grew a new sprout. The new sprout is much stronger since it derived from my well prepared soil (about 1 year). No pesticide, and pests unable to eat it again. It didn't betray me 🙂

If plants is like that, human body must be similar too. With 90% certainty, I suspect most diseases today about nutrition.
Similarly, dr. Heal method, which is Periodic Subscription, is like applying pesticide on plants body. It's not permanent solution.

Yes, tbh, I was a bit nervous. Although I'm very certain about my logic and basic knowledge, I don't have much practice on this, + it deviated from the usual norm or practice. If it were really die, I will be a laughing stock because I seemed so confident

They are a very hardy plant. very common in Ireland youll see them growing in most wild hedgerows. They were used to help fortify ring forts many years ago. You wouldn't walk too far into a patch of them before deciding to turn back😀

Is it because of the thorns? Ohh, seems like a good idea, it could become a firewall for thief prevention, umm thornwall. Umm what is wild hedgerows? I wonder if I need to support it's vines, how it grows in the wild?

yes and having limited resources, Wild hedgerows would be perimeter fencing of farming pastures. They're often built out of some raised earth left to grow wild. what shows up overtime will keep a bull in a field or a human out but not a fox or a badger.

They would usually get some support from the other plants around them I guess, so you might want to prop it until the stem thickens. In general I'm trying to stop them growing in my garden because they're so aggressive

But if it becomes a wild perimeter fencing, what plants could support blackberry? Won't the support plants suffocated by the blackberry fence? Or a cluster of blackberry could support each other, that's why it forming a hedgerows or fence ?

It' seems to have its own natural order hawthorn, nettles , hog weeds, ivy. equally as tough and nasty in it's own right. we have mostly open farm land for grazing cattle. So most of the wildlife lives lives here too, offers good shelter. Like a reef

It's a kindy of stringy plant. So it will do well with stuff to climb around. If the plant its climbing as long as that's not a delicate plant I wouldn't be too worried about damaging it😀

This comment kinda helps me get a picture or illustration of the church's old song about a lost sheep that got stuck at thorny places at mountain range. In the past, I always thought what kind of place is that, now I know it refers to hedgerows

Lol, it makes sense. Considering Christian was spread by western colonization, and blackberry and hedgerow' plants are common things in the west.
