Bitcoin was supposed to do everything. Without limits. There never would have been a need for any of these shitcoins if BTC stuck to the protocol and scaled from the beginning.

We forgot that companies can form groups to assault that which may make them obsolete. They worked hard to block Bitcoin. They pumped money into the assault and took over BTC. This has happened numerous times throughout history.
