I’ve heard the best random numbers came from atmospheric noise. Is there a reason bitcoin hashes would be less random?

Bitcoin has a secret hash that is as hard as the difficulty. It could be any hash of that difficulty.

I did my masters thesis on random numbers, but after reading Wolfram's 'A New Kind of Science' I've become convinced that there is no such thing. Instead, we're just looking at patterns that are too complex to predict unless viewing everything at once.
