Essentially you don't have to be afraid of your account being taken down or your posts removed, or biased algorithms shutting your stuff down from being seen.

Not really, no. Not by the centralized authority and their whims.

It would have to be somewhere where your peers (let's just call them a mob) have the ability to hurt you if they don't like what you say. Then there will be a natural disincentive to post something grotesque and disgusting.

If there was a social network where you had to put $100 into a security deposit, that you would only lose if 20 of your peers dislike your content. Or if they could embarass your true identity. Then you probably wouldn't need centralised censorship.

Social media where I don't get censored, pretty simple.

I understand the feeling; It's common. I have felt that feeling before. what I dont understand is what it is you want to post that greater society deems unacceptable.

I don't agree, no. User-curated/filtered feeds, nothing wrong with that.
