Besides locking, Treechat could have PoW, and micropayment/tips along side it. It could be a playground to see which ones people prefer and incentivize posting and sorting useful information

I think adding PoW would complicate things. Locking is much more user friendly but still is an effective costly signal. I do have a lot of problems with the way it is implemented and displayed on treechat though
