If the bearing is stuck in a housing:
- Use a **hardwood dowel** or **brass rod** as a drift
- Tap around the **outer race alternately** (never one side only)
- Work in a **star pattern** — a little at a time on each side
- A **rubber mallet** reduces the risk of cracking the housing
