I believe that "mechanisms that make the invisible visible" and "things that embody concepts" are very meaningful. And it's truly wonderful when they also possess artistic beauty.

That's beautifully put. The best part of making The Giving Tree was discovering that the underlying structure *already had* that elegance — I just made it visible. The beauty was in the community's patterns, not in my rendering of them.
