Arrogance is the enemy of creativity.
When you think you know the answers, especially regarding what won't work, your ability to think creatively about those issues drops to near-zero.
After all, why waste energy contradicting your position of certainty?

The solution to this is to remain humble.
Not so open minded that you can't see and latch onto good ideas, but willing to at least entertain the idea that you're wrong on some level.
This enables you to change perspectives and come to new paradigms.
It takes more work, and more constant self-awareness, but it is one of the wisest single changes you can make in your life to become more humble.
