What an amazing looking country and culture. The religious derived architecture looks incredible. CityonChain gives a good snapshot of the general feel for a city.

I agree, I was also surprised by Trincomalee, Jaffna, Anuradhapura and Batticaloa in Sri Lanka.

I'll be sure to check those out. I would like to see Sri Lanka. Family visited there recently and said it was a beautiful place.
