Being around your partner less rather than more can actually make the relationship more happy. This seems profound and counter-intuitive, but maybe in relationships, there really can be "too much of a good thing."

If there is a definite element of ABSENCE to the relationship— it creates a feeling of longing and the passion when you are together is more intense. This is, once again, something that is DIFFICULT to execute. But things that are more difficult are usually the right path.

What makes YOU happy? What do YOU think is beautiful in a partner? Don't let anyone else—ever—answer these questions for you. Don't go with the herd often times.

People need to open their minds to what marriage can be like. You can be married to someone and not living in the same house 100% of the time. You can be in separate houses. In fact, that may be the best solution if you both have complicated lives.

The most important thing in marriage is NOT whether you are living together 100% of the time. The most important thing is BEING and STAYING a net positive in the other person's life and having them as a net positive in your life as well. If the net positive is even just 5% net positive in each other's lives, it's still a good thing. Nobody is perfect.

Be okay with being away from your loved one, even for several days. During that time, think about how good it was when you were together. Don't spoil that by being together 100% of the time.

Someone once told 'if you don't then someone else will' lol.
As they get older, that becomes less of a problem since the aesthetics tend to diminish. 👍
