Is anyone working on a Bitcoin based KYC system?

Could legallychained.com be something to build on, to allow access to pre-approved KYC data (selected or just "verified status") for other Bitcoin apps and systems people are building right now?

I'm working on mobile identity, and will eventually have attestations incorporated.
Meanwhile there is this : https://github.com/icellan/bap , which technically, if you can have a third-party attest to having performed the KYC will give you what you need
