That would be foolish, defeating the whole purpose of the NFT... Anyone with an NFT could create as many rare hats they want to fools believing they have the only one if they purchase without the NFT.

Point taken, but I just want to wear the hat. Maybe I don’t completely understand the concept, but won’t the digital token hold its value without the physical hat?
The NFT concept makes more sense to me when you’re holding something like a trading card that you’ll keep in mint condition. I’m assuming that some NFT owners will wear the hat as well, making them unusable for for future owners.
I wouldn’t want to pay more than $40. But I would want to wear it and not keep it as a collectable.
