The shape of the conversations are different. Disagreements generate more surface area because they tend to be divergent in nature.
Agreements typically converge.
Think about the shape of cones.

Maybe, but there sure was a lot of discussion around here about it too. I wonder what the percentage of twetches were related to it. In general though, I notice that controversy or disagreement creates activity.

@660 Nothing specific, I just notice controversy tends to trend on the Daily Top. Not a bad thing though, I can appreciate the value in disagreement.
