In the US the lone-star tick can cause the meat allergy. It had a limited range but thanks to climate change they can be found in most of the east coast.
Yes they in my yard. Locals reporting getting allergy to deer meat but sounds like what is gastrointestinal problems for most can be allergy to all mammalian meats for others. My hairy legs protect as I feel them crawling and remove before they bite =)
