That was always the rumor. But MJ wasn’t ever broke so that theory never made sense. More than likely it was a kidnapping and ransom gone wrong.

I honestly believe it was just a robbery...i havent watched the latest episodes but he just happened to pull over on a random highway to get some rest...or atleast thats what i remember.
