Anyone on here buying or holding precious metals? I'm trying to learn.

I've been buying silver for a few years, usually at just a dollar or two over spot. The problem with silver now is the huge difference between the price and the spot as well as the lack of availability. Just get "off zero" as crypto people like to say.
Ima SLV wojack, feel free to hmu if you have any questions man, i might be able to help
“Just off zero“ means buy some, so you’re not at 0 precious metals held? I’ve actually never heard that before.
Hey @127,
Do you think now is a good time to buy some silver, or should I wait for a bit. USD deflation may be coming. I think that may lower demand for PM in short term. Also, I’m considering the high spread between spot and actual price. So high!
You know, i think premiums should drop a bit if this corona bull mess subsides, so waiting might not be a bad ideer. I have been bag holding for a while & as a bag holder, make sure that your opportunity cost is aligned within your means. Good Q's m8!
Thanks man!
Why did you first get involved with PM?
How long have you been involved with PM?
Where do you see Gold and Silver going over the next couple years?
overall tho I feel any time is a good time to buy SLV or GLD, and i am going to be 100 with you in that i suppose i am slightly biased. My gut feelings on SLV are that within 10 years it should make a big move to the upside.
Being your own central bank in a fiat inflationary world is never a poor decision. Just have a plan, & explore different options. I did all my buying in 16/17 & i will probably look to buy more this summer. Keep your eye on the charts and miner revenues.
Yes, that’s true and in-part why I bought into BitCoin.
I’ve learned from various sources that silver may be undervalued at least relative to gold historically. Sound right?
I’m thinking summer or fall ill buy some silver. Not too much, maybe 2-3k usd.
I got into PM's as a hedge against inflation & bc its tangible. There is heavy manipulation via derivative markets, but I think those days are nearing an end. Visit local coin dealers/auctions, boomers keel over w massive stashes more often than youd think
Good advice. I’ll check my local shops and look for some auctions. Thanks for all your help man.
From a generational wealth standpoint SLV is extremely smart to buy & hodl for the long term. It mos def a shtf scenario type of investment. It is definitely not going to be a get rich quick investment, unfortunately so try not to think of it like that
I hold 400 ounces of American Eagles, and a smattering of 'junk' silver like morgans, peace dollars, pre 1965 dimes quarters and nickels. If the valuation catches up to the dollar to silver ratio i'll be one happy SLV wojack, but i might also die with it.
these are the risks I'm willing to take to preserve my wealth tho, so it is what it is lolol lets keep in touch on this for sure. I watch the PM charts like a hawk brother 👍🙏
Time will tell. Thanks for all your help fren. Very cool. I’ll follow you and we can keep in touch about PM and the wojak life as time goes passes.
😂 fuck yes brother! Thanks for the follow back my fren, this is what its all about! Us wojaks gotta stick together ❤
Yeah, that's exactly what I mean. Once you hold precious metal, you have skin in the game and will be more likely to invest more time learning.
Find some and pay the premium. Check locally first. If you find a private seller, meet at a coin shop and have them verify authenticity prior to transacting. Don’t think of it as fomo, I strongly feel now is the time for executing a plan. Not in 2-4 mos GL
Feel free to hmu via twitter dms, @antis0ciaIst, if you want.
Thanks for the heads up man, I do appreciate.
Since I don't care about collecting premium, is there any reason to not just buy generic 100 oz silver bar(s)?
When it comes to silver stacking i avoid bars. I have 1oz gold credit suisse bars and smaller, but no silver bars for various reasons. I would stick with bullion rounds. Gov issue is boring, i know, but they're easy to pass off if need be.
its up to you tho. I know of plenty of people that buy the 10oz bars, I just think gov issued rounds are the best way to go for plebs. If you're calvin ayre, yah. Plebs, no.
Got it, thanks man.
Dude when I say start formulating a plan I don't mean go all in now, or buy this instant. SLV just saw a 35% pump off of a massive selloff on the spot market. you always buy into strength. I should've said this sooner, but don't fomo scope out your options
