Another day in the life of a bonsai guy.

The flower is a quince (chaenomeles japonica). I currently have two, one as a bonsai and one I let grow free in a large pot. The flowers do look similar to camellias :). The purple plant is a variety of chinese fringe flower (loropetalum).
