If you're serious about blogging I would recommend WordPress. A lot more features and flexibility.
Well, I have used a number of platforms before. I even made my own CMS/blog software with full blow comments and tons of stuff.
But I generally like the software minimalist approach of the Basecamp folks--I have been a very long user of Basecamp ...
... Sometimes less is more and I feel at peace with going with this simple approach at this point.
