Anarchists always seem to signal their views from the perspective of them having the upper hand. When the tables turn, by the same logic as their views, they seem to crumble in an instant.

Anarchism is an ethical view that rejects the idea that some people get to have the privilege to violate other people's individual rights.

'All rules, no rulers'.

Why would that depend on circumstances?

A lot of marxists pose as anarchists, though...

Twetch ·

I am familiar with the viewpoint. It was more of a day to day observation of people spewing anarchist rhetoric but at the same time call for other people's rights to be violated. Could have phrased it better.

Twetch ·

Consistency is a good indicater of a true anarchist, indeed.

If they are all about violating rights to get what they want they are marxists who believe the end justifies the means.

Twetch ·

Consistency is a good indicator of anything truthful. I'm do not subscribe to the anarchist viewpoint btw. Agree on the latter.

In my eyes statism is 'soft' socialism

I always struggle to see how statism can coexist with consistent ethics.

If you ever feel like explaining how that works I'd love to hear it :)

But I do understand that the state is better than chaos...

Ha, I don't have all the answers.I don't believe there is a one-size fits all solution of government. Eg I reject ideological socialism, but do believe moderate use of certain tools can be used building a prospering society. It's the Indian, not the arrow.

Also I think 'consistent ethics' covers a much broader spectrum than just politics, thank God. Would love to discuss when I have more time. See you around!
