Although BTC transaction fees have increased, we are by no means near the levels of 2017 / 2018.
I am however optimistic more people see how broken BTC is, and if a decent % realise Bitcoin (aka BSV) is the solution and original system, then great!

Nearly all activity is offchain now plus segwit and batching. Some assholes are paying $100 for WBTC too lol

Absolutely, my point (though not articulated) is the moon boys are thinking, “I will buy now for 42k... then I will use BTC as electronic cash by spending it to buy Tesla when it gets to 100k, so I don’t care about paying a $500 fee”.

When considering on-chain peer to peer transfers cost will always either allow for growth or constrain it.
Low on-chain fees are essential to vibrancy in the economy.
