Blame the education system. Majority of people have gone through the public schooling in the last few decades.
This is what you get when basically all children get exposed almost exclusively to adults that are socialists from kindergarten to starting work.
Indeed, the education system works "wonders" in favour of socialism's proselitism. We see it clearly in Spain where the Left dominance is ubiquitous in schools, universities, TV, radio and other media. No clear escape from this.
