Before, back way back when, before we knew about how bacteria, germs, corona viruses etc existed was actually called Aqua vitae “Water of life” because it would clean any dirty water after X amount of time. Without alcohol we would ALL BE DED.
Self Control
Self control, will power and knowing your limit with alcohol is very important. For some people one drink, is one to many. Having that self knowledge and being able to admit it too yourself is important.

yes, also depends the type of person you are. As you know thousands of people die each year because of it. But yes, self control is a fruit of the spirit so as long as you are not consuming too much :)
