You got it!

Currently, Ordinals indexers on BSV operate somewhat independently, but the future involves these indexers migrating to an overlay network where they can synchronize with each other. This will increase the reliability of applications, user interfaces, and platforms because if one indexer node disconnects from the overlay network, apps and users will still be able to access the Ordinals content and metadata. This is similar to how blockchain transaction explorers work today: if one explorer or miner goes down, you can still view transactions on another explorer as well as the transactions can continue to be broadcast to the network and processed even if a miner disconnects.
I know that David Case and Gorillapool are already working on an overlay network for Ordinals or tokens that use the 1Sat Ordinals protocol.

One thing I love about the 1Sat Ordinals protocol is that it's open, and anyone can build an overlay network to suit their interests, such as an indexer specializing in a stablecoin like MNEE or another specializing in a collection of pixelated foxes with 10 million items. Each country or corporation can use this technology by privately inscribing data within the ordinal's content or payload and interpreting it in their interfaces with restricted access. Note that these are not second-layer networks, because all the information is inscribed in layer 1 transactions, using operational codes to insert data or Op_returns. Large blocks facilitate this and improve the compatibility of use cases because everything is on the same layer; the overlay networks are simply used to filter the transactions or content of economic interest to the agent.

@J1 Pelaez
I think I need some time to really read it...
Because I'm reading it right before bed, my brain isn't working properly. LOL
I'll reread it again tomorrow.
