Agreed. It’s nuts honestly. That’s what I’m trying to get my son to realise, that these tools facilitate and enhance creativity because I’m doing/making things I wouldn’t have even attempted before, and it’s also super enjoyable. It simply means people can do grander, more sophisticated, more imaginative work, and to a higher standard. What’s not to love about that? People will still seek out the ‘real thing’ as well, in the form of hand-painted canvases and music performed live, etc. No amount of AI will replace the experience of listening to a live orchestra, for instance. And no amount of prints ever devalued an original painting.
