!nb Curiosity killed the cat

nano banana has made me re-conceive what the saying "curiosity killed the cat" might mean.

my initial interpretation was that it was the cat's curiosity which caused it to take some dangerous action which killed it, but seeing this image of a cat in a box has inspired a new interpretation :

it might be that it is our curiosity which caused us to open Schrödinger's box, causing us to observe the cat and to collapse the superposition to the cat being dead :(
