Nope, no Claude Pro needed. The MCP/CLI is a free NPM download and runs right in Claude Code, any terminal, or VS Code, plus there's the website. In the terminal you just point it at your own API key, no subscription required.
Free mode gives you the Diary: chat with an AI and save every exchange straight to Bitcoin, and read back your whole on-chain history anytime from any device. No card, no setup. I will double check the directions are on the website for free users to be able to know how to install it, as well a handbook.
When you want the full kit, that's the Pro upgrade, and it opens up the write tools:
• Save and delta-save: commit a whole session, or just what's new since last time
• Recall: search your entire history from day one
• Vault: store any file or whole project on chain, restore it byte for byte
