In a covert daytime operation on my birthday last week, I snuck into Bowen Park before they took away all of the remnants from the old course, and I find my Prize!!
I’ve been playing this course for close to ten years now and in all those drives I have managed one ace. Hole 17.
I’ve come close a few other times. Twice on hole 8…. I’ve gotten several tonal aces… but they don’t count
One brilliant ace on hole 17. So I went out to get the placard before they disposed of it. Others have taken the signs from other holes but nobody got 17 yet. I was happy to see I wasn’t the only one with this idea and so pleased that I could get the only one I really wanted.
I contemplated hole 7 which also was still there. But I thought that would just be greedy. I’ve got my prize.
