Right. So just to be clear, are you comparing treechat upvalue to normal social media likes?
They are IMO not comparable: likes are "valueless" while upvalues bear "value".
!nb When there is no "cost" you can, and potentially in an automated way, hit that "like" button as if you're an ant high on sugar.
With a cost attached to "upvalue", even a very small cost, someone will always hit a ceiling at some point: 1.000.000.000 hits at $0.001 results in a cost of $1.000.000
