They have Tweet from Twetch feature, so that make it slightly less flexible over the short-term.

I would guess..

Consider what it would be like to scroll through pages and pages of walls of text ... like this:

That would ruin the UX. Long posts of stuff more suited to blogs would make wading through posts too time consuming for the current UI.
