@852, I suggest you use PNG instead of JPEG. You can achieve better compression for higher image quality.
Check my previous PNG uploaded (lossly 50%). The Twetch cost me 4 cents. Try re-upload the same, it'll cost you 11 cents for JPEG (& lower quality).

It's not always the case though, but providing users with the option to Twetch PNG directly would be a must.
I would also recommend NOT TO try compress/convert images that are smaller than 95kB and already fit a Twetch (especially <20kB ones).
