@852 should allow to hide (grey out, fade out or make it minimized into an accordion) Twetches we'd like to not show on the timeline.

Useful if we do typos or want to restate something. Also a "updated here" link on the old Twetch would be a cool feature.

My idea from way back is to have a swipe right/left feature that enables edits but the edit trail is included in the twetch itself with an obvious graphical indicator such as an added line on either the right or left side to indicate newer or older edits.

So you can either swipe right or left, or click on that graphical indicator and see the older or newer edit of the twetch.

The only remaining question is how to manage comments in response, and I think you can then have a link to the parent twetch...

That link could be hidden if the user is swiped to the parent twetch, but when clicked, it will automatically swipe to the correct parent twetch and potentially scroll up to it so that it is more obviously identified.

Using this approach, it becomes obvious when a thread is built off of an older edit, but the responses aren't hidden entirely when showing a new edit... It retains context, and for typo edits only, it maintains meaning without reposting.

I think each version has its own link (address) & thereby also has its own comments. Just a small notification in the older or newer Twetch (onchain linked) able to unfold previous versions with its previous comments on each Twetch. Confusion has to be 0%.

Yes - what I'm proposing is that you establish an edit link between earlier and later versions of a twetch, and merge all sub-trees into a single feed, with a UI feature to show which response went to which original edit on the twetch.
